Time Machine & PUTS back in SF
DJ Mekalek of Time Machine
Time Machine is touring with PUTS again, and are at The Independent Wednesday night, April 26th. PUTS have a new album to promote, Stepfather, which is really good but at the moment I'm most excited about the "Tuxedo Rap" 12-inch. It's fresh, modern rap delivered in classic disco style. Love the cover, too. I'm hoping the remix comes out on wax soon. Mekalek has a new 12-inch out as well, with Percee P on the P-side, "The Gritty Bop," and Fedd Hill on the F-side, "Love Life Money Guns."
Check out the PUTS See & Hear device at puts-stepfather.com. Fun little album promo.

VETV
I've been working on this internet TV show thing and the premiere episode will be launching soon. It's VETV, or Vinyl Exchange TV, and it's about hip-hop vinyl and the people who make it, sell it, and love it. This show will be on the web and downloadable to iPod and PSP. (Shit, I don't even have an iPod or PSP.)
You can find out more about VETV and check out the trailer at VETV.us. You can also find us on Myspace at Myspace.com/vetv.
(Big ups to Thug E. Fresh for the fat-ass bumper shown above.)

Spinnin' @ At Large 4/20
This is a new monthly presented by Versus Magazine and KULT Radio, every 3rd Thursday at Madrone Lounge. I'll be playing along with DJs Swayzee and Cabal, and Megabusive is coming through to rap. Should be pretty damn raptastic. The VE Radio show airs twice a week on KULT and the current issue of Versus Magazine features my interview with Megabusive, so it's all in the fam.
I just finished an Ableton Live class. This program is SO dope. I highly recommend Ableton for producing beats and/or performing live. It's so user-friendly yet offers total control of your sound. I've found the answer to my beat-making needs.
