Spindig with Shezilla this Friday!

This month's Spindig Happy Hour is gonna be a blast. We're celebrating Shezilla's birthday as well as her return to the turntables. I've become obsessed with the Runaways of late, so I will be playing "Cherry Bomb" every hour on the hour. When you hear it, it means it's time to enjoy one: Black Cherry Vodka + Squirt + a cherry (the bomb).

Last Thursday night we checked out the Red Bull 45s party at the California Academy of Sciences' NightLife. It was so awesome -- the space, the DJs (Jazzy Jay! Shortkut, John Doe, Platurn, Ted Shred), the fish, the exhibits, and seeing old friends. Big ups to B.Cause for getting us in and of course killin' it on the turntables.

Hordes of Chaos

Thrash legends Kreator bring the Hordes of Chaos Tour to Slim's tonight. Joined by Exodus, Belphegor and Warbringer. Serg brought a Warbringer album home from Amoeba recently and these guys are good. So although I've just heard of Warbringer, I'm just as excited to see them as Exodus. New album Waking Into Nightmares, out next month. Peep the interview:

Bad Brains Vans

I actually clicked on a banner and bought something.

The Vans Bad Brains ad appeared on the Warped Tour band list page which took me to the Vans Bad Brains page. I ordered the 46 LEs. I was excited enough about getting the shoes, but when I saw the packaging I was pleasantly surprised.
