Darondo is the truth.

Thanks to my husband Serg, I finally caught Darondo live last Friday night at The Independent. PLEASE do not miss him live if you get a chance, and check out his music on the Ubiquity Records site. Darondo is a Bay Area soul singer who had not recorded since the early 70s when his 45 singles were released. Ubiquity has rereleased Darondo's singles as well as material that had never been released before. Darondo's rediscovery after over 30 years is an amazing story, which you can read about here, here and here, or Wiki. Big ups to Justin Torres for finding the man so that we can all continue to enjoy his music and the man can be appreciated and get PAID.
