The party is every Friday, but Ryan Poulsen and I are there on 4th Fridays. Got it?

After that it's the Born & Raised party with special guests Cosmo Baker (The Rub, Brooklyn) AND Fourcolorzack (Yo Son, Fool's Gold, Seattle) joining residents Morse Code and Vin Sol. Dang!

This Saturday will be the last Face Down Ass Up at 222 Club, because unfortunately they're closing the club on Sunday. Stay tuned for our new venue.



DJs Fourcolorzack, B.Cause, Shezilla and me coming with the booty-shaking bass and explicit rap lyrics. WOW.

Dang, I've been so busy I didn't have time to post the September Spindig flyer. It went down last Friday evening and guest DJ Doc Delay played a killer set. He then proceeded to get funky and a little superdiscohyphy at Free Funk Friday later at the Elbo Room.

Seattle's Pretty Titty is at Vessel this Wednesday night to play at Infatuation with Commodore 69 and residents Sleazemore, Omar and Rchrd Oh?. He's excited. More about it in SF Weekly.

Darondo is the truth.

Thanks to my husband Serg, I finally caught Darondo live last Friday night at The Independent. PLEASE do not miss him live if you get a chance, and check out his music on the Ubiquity Records site. Darondo is a Bay Area soul singer who had not recorded since the early 70s when his 45 singles were released. Ubiquity has rereleased Darondo's singles as well as material that had never been released before. Darondo's rediscovery after over 30 years is an amazing story, which you can read about here, here and here, or Wiki. Big ups to Justin Torres for finding the man so that we can all continue to enjoy his music and the man can be appreciated and get PAID.
